Middle schooler nails midcourt shot at the buzzer

A buzzer-beater at any level is exciting. At a middle school game? That's just incredible.

Webster City (Iowa) Middle School trailed Clear Lake (Iowa) Middle School 32-30 with a few seconds left on Monday. After Clear Lake missed a shot, a Webster City defender grabbing the rebound and passed it off to Taylor McKinney.

McKinney dribbled to mid-court and launched a shot as she crossed the mid-court line.

Somehow, the shot was perfect. It swished through the net as the buzzer went off, giving Webster City the 33-32 win and a memory these girls will likely never forget.

Equally entertaining is the woman complaining about the referees. It's a middle school basketball game, but she was all fired up when she thought they missed a call against Clear Lake.

When McKinney hit the winning shot, though, the complaints quickly turned to cheers.

The referees, too, couldn't hold back their excitement. Watch the clip again, focusing on the referee closest to the camera. This clip is amazing all around.
