California teen hits mid-court shot, wins free sushi for a year

When a junior at Granite Bay (Calif.) High School hit a half-court shot on Feb. 13, the crowd went nuts. Watching them storm the court to celebrate with Adam Kahan, you might think they just won a championship.

But no, not this time. This celebration was all about sushi. Yup, sushi. By hitting a mid-court shot during halftime, Kahan earned a year of free sushi from a local restaurant.

It was all the celebrating they'd do for the day, as Granite Bay eventually fell to Woodcreek (Calif.) High School, 58-54.
