Winners and losers from the Valspar Championship

This past weekend saw a lot of great story lines and we are here to give you the good and the bad of it. Here are our winners and losers from the past week in golf.

Winners

John Senden -- His final three holes were as clutch as anything we've seen this season, and considering how long it had been since he won a PGA Tour event, the pressure was surely intense for the 42-year-old Australian. A great finish to a great week and a Masters invite on top of it will make the Valspar Championship a great memory for Senden and a finish to a tournament he won't soon forget.

Scott Langley -- Langley had come into this week without a single top-10 in 11 events already in this wraparound season, but he played well enough on the weekend to give himself a chance at the trophy and even without the win was able to snag a third place finish. This Sunday was absolutely about survival, and Langley was able to do that and complete a great week at the Valspar.

Graham DeLaet -- Red-hot earlier in the season, DeLaet had cooled off since the Waste Management but a final round 68 in windy conditions on Sunday jumped him 30 spots up the leaderboard to a T-8 finish, making it five top-10s in nine starts this season.

Losers 

Kevin Na -- He finished second, which was great, and made a great birdie on the 17th to give himself an outside chance at a playoff, but his pace of play is still a serious issue despite working on it and saying he's improved "90 percent." Robert Garrigus' caddie went after Na after Saturday's round for good measure, and while Na might be faster than he used to be, his pace of play makes the tournament nearly unwatchable when he is in contention.

Robert Garrigus -- Another Sunday, another missed opportunity for Garrigus, who was in the final group at the Valspar but shot a final round 75 to lose by three. Garrigus has that one win on the PGA Tour back at the 2010 Children's Miracle Network Classic, but it seems anytime this man is in contention you can almost count on a Sunday meltdown which is a bummer for a guy with such an incredible golf swing.

John Daly -- If you shoot 90 in a PGA Tour event, you're making this list, that's a promise.
