Wade Ormsby made record 41st ace of the European Tour season

In case you haven't noticed, there have been a lot of aces on the European Tour this season. In fact, on Saturday, two more aces were recorded that broke, then broke again, the record for the most holes-in-one in a single Euro Tour season.

At the KLM Open in the Netherlands, Swede Magnus Carlsson made the 40th ace of the year on the 227-yard par-3 eighth hole, setting a new European Tour record and surpassing the 39 carded in 2006.

An hour later, Australian Wade Ormsby made the 41st with a 7-iron at the 169-yard par-3 11th hole at Kennemer Golf and Country Club. Even better for Ormsby is that he won a year's supply of Warsteiner beer for the ace. Then again, that prize pales in comparison to the trip to space Andy Sullivan earned for his ace in the same event last year.

Ormsby trails 54-hole co-leaders Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Lee Slattery, who is seeking a second-consecutive European Tour win, by three shots heading into the final round.
