This year I was coerced by a hockey writing friend of mine to do a weekly one-and-done golf pool that allows you to pick one golfer never to use them again in 2013. Since I'm doing it for fun (and DEFINITELY not for money, no way, no how), I figured I'd post my weekly picks here, with who I've already used under it and my record for the year, and against the others in the pool. We're calling this Darts in the Dark.

Hyundai Tournament of Champions Pick - Steve Stricker

Why, oh why, would I go with a guy that won this tournament a year ago and hasn't won since? Well, a couple of reasons.

One, is what I just said; he won here a year ago by shooting a solid 23-under at Kapalua and finished T-4 in 2011 and T-10 in '10. Also, Stricker announced last month that he would only be playing in 10 tournaments in 2013, so I figured I might as well take him at a track he likes.

So there is my first pick of the year. Stricker. Record below in the coming weeks will look like this.

  • Wins -
  • Top-10s -
  • Top-25s -
  • Missed Cuts -

I'll also have where I stand in the pool of all the other competitors. Add your picks below and follow along for the year to see how you'd do in this ultra competitive fantasy game.
