Throwing Darts: That's So Ravens

Five picks against the Yahoo Pro Football PickEm spread, that's how we roll here. Share your five best in the comments.

Ravens -1 at Steelers: Okay, Big Ben's coming off the game of his life, and Baltimore is down its cover ace, CB Jimmy Smith. Nonetheless, Baltimore has a chance to control the line of scrimmage no matter who has the ball, and home field means less in a familiarity game, a divisional matchup.

Vikings -1 vs. Washington: Both teams coming off overtime wins, but in the case of Washington, it was an emotional upset over a divisional rival - and on a Monday night, no less. With a QB change and less preparation time, I could see Washington coming out flatter than a pancake. Mike Zimmer's coaching career is off to a checkered start, but I still trust him as a defensive schemer.

Jags +11 at Cincinnati: I've collected a lot of losses with this Jacksonville club, including last week. But I still think it's a plus unit on defense, and Blake Bortles won't throw pick-sixes every week. Jacksonville can hang around.

Niners -10 vs. Rams: Generally don't like laying this sort of number, but San Francisco comes off the bye and faces a St. Louis offense that can't get out of its own way. Everything about the Rams Week 7 victory was fluky; last week gave us a much fairer picture of what they are.

Chargers +2.5 at Miami: I know, I know, western team moving east and all that jazz. But the San Diego club is rested after a Thursday game last week, and I like having the far better QB in the mach up and still getting a head start on the number.

Last Week: 1-4
