Injury Wrap: Is it DeMarco Murray time yet?

The Philadelphia defense has been a fantasy giveaway for several weeks, so it makes sense to open our current wrap with the state of the Dallas offense. Meet us in the huddle and let's figure this out.

• DeMarco Murray (foot) has done some work this week and looks like a decent bet to play Sunday night, though he's certainly not a sure thing. I'll sign off on a Murray play so long as you have a reasonable late-game caddy (someone in the Sunday night or Monday night game) that you can shift to in a pinch. If you can preemptively slot Murray in a flex spot, all the better - you're expanding your options. There is nothing guaranteed here. Felix Jones (knees) is also dinged up and listed as questionable.

• Miles Austin (hip, hamstring) has been limited in the practice week but context clues point to him playing as well. They're listing Austin as questionable. The Eagles secondary has been a sieve since Todd Bowles became coordinator, though it's been more of an efficiency leak than a volume grab - with so many opponents routing Philadelphia, the opposing quarterbacks haven't had to attempt many passes. Can Austin get through a full game? No one can say with any confidence.

• Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) has already been ruled out for Week 13, so the poor Steelers offense will have to roll with Charlie Batch at Baltimore. I'm not bullish on any of the Pittsburgh pass-catchers: I'll look away from Mike Wallace and Heath Miller whenever possible. The same goes for Antonio Brown (ankle), who is expected to go.

• Percy Harvin (ankle) is considered doubtful for the Week 13 date at Green Bay, so you'll need other plans on that front. Jarius Wright looks like the best Minnesota wideout. At least the Packers are banged up again: Charles Woodson (collarbone) and Clay Matthews (hamstring) aren't going to play.

Although Darren McFadden (ankle) has been active in practice this week, he's still not considered 100 percent and he's no sure thing to play (or take a full load) against the Browns. Basically, this is another dreaded game-time decision. The weather forecast is also messy for game-day, just to make things as complicated as possible. I wouldn't play McFadden on any team this week unless backed into a corner. I'll be surprised if Marcel Reece isn't the primary back.

Matt Forte (ankle) had a solid week of practice and says he'll go against Seattle. He's listed as probable. That said, you get the idea Michael Bush will also see a fair amount of work.

The Patriots basically have the team picture on the injury report, as usual: Aaron Hernandez (ankle), Brandon Lloyd (knee), Wes Welker (ankle) and Julian Edelman (post concussion) are all listed as questionable. It's an early kickoff at Miami, so check in around noontime ET.

Andre Roberts (ankle) missed the full practice week and can't be trusted in New York, though he's listed as questionable. The Cardinals also limited Beanie Wells (knee) and call him questionable, though he's more likely to play. The Jets defense looks like the best streaming option of the week, up against Ryan Lindley and the crummy Arizona offensive line.

LeSean McCoy (post concussion) remains out indefinitely, so keep doing what you're doing, Bryce Brown.

The Lions don't seem too worried about Mikel Leshoure (ankle), listing him as probable for the Colts game. It's an early kickoff, so we can double-check before committing to anything. Indianapolis struggles to stop the run (4.8 YPC), so Leshoure might be in for a solid game if he can hold up physically.

The Jaguars held their Glimmer Twins out on Thursday (Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon) but the duo was back to work Friday. Shorts has a sore hamstring while Blackmon is dealing with a groin injury. I'm good to use either (or both) at Buffalo, with Shorts the preferred option.

Brandon Stokley is dealing with a sore wrist and hip and went through a partial practice week. The Broncos are listing him as questionable. It's a shame Stokley isn't fully healthy right now, with Tampa Bay's leaky secondary coming by for a visit. Stokley quietly has four scores in his last seven games.

The Packers are listing Greg Jennings (groin) as probable, so all signs point to him playing against Minnesota. That said, the game situation and flow will determine how much Jennings plays in his first game back. I'd look long and hard at all options before doubling back to Jackson in Week 13.

• Yahoo! football columnist Jason Cole reports that Michael Vick (post concussion) is making progress, albeit it's been a deliberate process for the Eagles quarterback. Here's the exact tweet from Cole, posted around lunchtime Friday, EST:

I'm told by two people that Vick, while not healthy yet, is actually improving, albeit slowly. Fascinating situation unfolding with Eagles.

I can't imagine Vick will be cleared in time to play Sunday night against Dallas (Friday night update: Vick is out). Whenever Nick Foles wants to make a play or two, I'm not against it. And in case you missed it earlier in the week, DeSean Jackson (ribs) is done for the season - could be an opportunity for Riley Cooper.

The Mohamed Sanu story was fun while it lasted. The Bengals rookie suffered a left foot injury in Thursday's practice and is going to need surgery; he's done for the season. The Bengals also aren't sure where Andrew Hawkins (knee) is at for Week 13, but at least there are two strong passing options left in-house (A.J. Green, Jermaine Gresham).

• Danny Amendola (foot) didn't practice all week and is listed as doubtful for the rematch with the Niners. Although Amendola miraculously overcame a doubtful tag a few weeks back, the lack of practice here and the opponent is enough to dissuade me from using him.

David Akers is battling a pelvis injury and while he's listed as probable, I'd like a healthier option at kicker. Explore replacement options. He's been in a funk most of the year.
