Early fantasy pickups: Jay Cutler a streaming option for Week 5

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler made a surprise return from a hamstring injury on Sunday and could be a streaming option for fantasy players heading into Week 5.

Cutler, who had sat last week due to the injury, performed reasonably well in a win over the Oakland Raiders. He finished with 281 yards passing and two touchdowns. While Cutler did turn the ball over twice, he led a drive in the final minute of the game to set up Robbie Gould for a game-winning field goal.

Chicago's next opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs, have given up 10 passing touchdowns through four games. Further benefiting Cutler's cause is the expected return of top receiver Alshon Jeffery, who has been hampered by leg injuries.

Another option on the waiver wire will be Tedd Ginn Jr. Since an ACL tear ended Kelvin Benjamin's 2015 campaign before it could even begin, fantasy owners have been eager to see who might emerge as the Carolina Panthers' No. 1 receiver. After four weeks of play, it appears there is an answer. Ginn has racked up 152 yards and three scores since Week 2.

With defenses keying in on TE Greg Olsen, Ginn has utilized his top-end speed to buoy the offense as a deep threat. Owned in fewer than 35 percent of Yahoo leagues, Ginn is worthy of a stash and could come in handy for owners needing help through the thick of the bye weeks.
