Alert: Cedric Benson carted off with foot/ankle injury

Well, we've got brutal news for those of you who needed a big fantasy day from Packers running back Cedric Benson. (Like this dude, for example). Ced was carted to the locker room with a foot/ankle injury in the first half at Indianapolis. He was smiling as he went, for whatever reason.

As you can see in the screen-grab above (blurry though it may be), Benson twisted his foot in an unnatural manner after a short gain in the second quarter. That's gonna leave a mark. You have to hope it isn't a high-ankle sprain.

Alex Green has replaced Benson as the top dog in Green Bay's backfield, but it's basically been the Aaron Rodgers show so far (11-for-16, 122 yards, 2 TDs at halftime). James Starks is inactive this week, so we won't see him. John Kuhn poached a short-yardage score in the first quarter at Indy, helping no one.

The Packers also lost BJ Raji to an apparent left ankle injury on Sunday, so, even if they hold onto their early lead, this could be a pyrrhic victory.
