Buzzing The Net's Three Stars from Russia's 3-2 win over Team QMJHL in Game 6 of the Subway Super Series at Rimouski, Que., which gave Russia that title by an 11-7 count.

No. 1 star: Vladimir Bryukvin, Team Russia

Now that's a homecoming. Bryukvin (1G-1A, +3), who played a season for Rimouski before returning to his homeland, factored into the first two goals as Russia built a three-goal cushion that was big enough to withstand a frantic QMJHL rally in the final 20 minutes.

Bryukvin made a centring pass than Ivan Fishchenko desposite behind Dallas Stars-drafted goalie Philippe Desrosiers for the opening goal with 3:54 left in the first period. The 19-year-old who plays for Moscow Dynamo victimized his former teammate Desrosiers in the second period, catching the goalie by surprise for a 2-0 lead.

Alexander Dergachev (2A, plus-2) was Russia's other multi-point man.

No. 2 star: Igor Shestyorkin, Team Russia

The New York Rangers-drafted goalie finished off an excellent series with a 25-of-27 night that included a point-blank save on Anthony Richard when the table was still open early in the game. Shestyorkin also made a big rebound save on Richard in the third to stay QMJHL's momentum. The 18-year-old goalie finished with a 1.58 average and .949 save percentage while playing in all but one of the six games.

No. 3 star: Francis Perron, Team QMJHL

The 18-year-old Ottawa Senators prospect was one of the steadier QMJHL forwards, although that's a relative statement about a young squad that only had one shot in the second period, which it rentered trailing by two. Perron, who has 14 goals and 29 points over 20 games with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, got the primary assist on the Anthony DeLuca marker with 7½ minutes left that made the game go down to the wire.
