Step aside, Jim Parsons, Eugenie Bouchard has a new BFF

WIMBLEDON – Canadian Genie Bouchard has had award-winning actor Jim Parsons at all her matches so far this Wimbledon.

But is he already history as her tennis BFF?

Bouchard revealed a new, potentially more useful friend after her fourth-round win over Alizé Cornet Monday.

It's the Wimbledon roof.

"I'm happy I got the experience of playing under the famous roof. I follow the roof on Twitter, and he's kind of funny. I hope he's proud of how I played today. He was looking down. Hopefully he enjoyed the match," Bouchard said.

A mutual admiration society, apparently.

Now that the ice has been broken between the two, Bouchard really no longer has to worry about the elements. She's taken care of. The forecast is pretty good, but it's likely the 20-year-old Canadian won't be leaving the welcoming confines of Centre Court – and the Roof – for as long as she remains in the tournament.

If they're scheduling her on Centre Court when she's playing Alizé Cornet, it's a pretty decent bet they'll do the same if she plays Maria Sharapova in the quarter-finals.
