MLB predictions — Picks for the 2014 Blue Jays, standings, playoffs and more

Even though the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks played two regular season games in Australia last week, the real opening day in baseball is on Monday when 26 teams begin the 2014 season.

Last season, the Boston Red Sox went from worst to first, winning the American League East and then beating the St. Louis Cardinals in six games to win their third World Series in nine years. Can the Toronto Blue Jays pull off a similar feat? The Blue Jays finished a disappointing 74-88 and finished last in the AL East. They hope better luck and better health will be enough to put them over the edge in 2014.

So what's going to happen in 2014? Yahoo Canada Sports baseball writers Ian Denomme and Israel Fehr are here with their picks for each division, the playoffs and some individual awards. Join us as we offer predictions and forecast the season ahead.
