As Eugenie Bouchard enjoys the night on Arthur Ashe Stadium, watch the shoulder
NEW YORK – Montreal's Eugenie Bouchard is making her debut in an Arthur Ashe Stadium court night-session match Thursday night against Sorana Cirstea of Romania, the first but likely not the last time she'll find herself there.
But just as the other aches and pains – a hip, the knees, the hamstring – seem to have cleared up, another boo-boo appeared Wednesday in practice.
It wasn't a new injury; Bouchard appeared on the practice court with the shoulder already taped underneath the T-shirt.
The dead giveaway? On arguably the hottest day of the summer, Bouchard wasn't wearing someting like this:
She was wearing this - the better to cover up a few bits of extra tape.
Here's what happened just a few minutes into the workout, when Bouchard stopped to have the shoulder looked at, and appeared to be in a bit of discomfort.
It's probably not a big deal, but definitely worth keeping an eye on that area during her match against Sorana Cirstea Thursday night.
