There's been a lot of talk about Canadians getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the Canada-Sweden gold medal game in men's hockey. Most bars and establishments in Canada are either closed or forbidden from serving alcohol for the 7 a.m. Eastern puckdrop. Not so in Toronto. We may have a crack-smoking mayor, but we also have a city council that appreciates national pride and the intricacies of of an all-nighter. so the bars will be open, and suds will flow, and either way, Toronto will be a very ugly scene by 10 a.m.
So I'm going out to share it with you. I'm off to RealSports, Toronto's hottest sports bar.
Here's what it's like to go to a bar at 6 a.m.to watch Canada play for Olympic gold, as it happens.
