"Age is not an excuse" - Rafael Nadal, on Nick Kyrgios's behaviour
MONTREAL – A day after Stan Wawrinka came down hard in his criticism of Nick Kyrgios's behaviour, his thoughts were seconded, although in a much calmer, more detached way, by Rafael Nadal.
After Nadal's win over qualifier Mikhail Youzhny Thursday night, he thoughtfully weighed in on Kyrgios's attitude, saying that his relatively young age was absolutely no excuse.
Nadal has a tough one in the quarter-finals of the singles on Friday. He plays Kei Nishikori of Japan, the No. 4 seed, in the evening session.
He also still is alive in the doubles with Fernando Verdasco. They will play the world No. 1 Bryan brothers after his singles.
