Toronto Argonauts pay tribute to David Bowie on Twitter with stream of photos

The death of singer and style icon David Bowie has drawn tributes from a wide spectrum of high-profile figures, including musicians, actors, fashion designers and politicians.

British rocker David Bowie's passing at age 69 Sunday has sparked thoughtful tributes from around the world, and at least one from the CFL. The Toronto Argonauts have been known for some funny Twitter stunts in the past, but they did a more reflective one Monday, posting a stream of Argonauts' photos with Bowie song titles on their Twitter page. That's pretty clever and creative. One of the best things about Twitter's growing prominence in the CFL is how it has let players show off their off-field interests and personalities, and we're starting to see more of that from teams as well these days. It feels especially appropriate during a slow part of the offseason. Props to the Argonauts' social media team for finding a thoughtful way to pay tribute to Bowie while still talking about the CFL.
