Photos: It might be a wet game in Regina

The Stampeders aren't in town during the massive flooding that's hit Calgary, but they might get wet tonight too. The team's in Regina to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in CFL preseason action (10 p.m. Eastern,CKRM for Saskatchewan, CHQR for Calgary), and that city was hit by plenty of rain during a thunderstorm this afternoon. You can see how much water was on the Mosaic Stadium field this afternoon from the above photo (tweeted by CBC's Glenn Reid), and here's a photo the Stampeders' official Twitter account sent out of what the Regina streets looked like:

Things appear to have cleared up now, and the field is reportedly draining, but it still may be difficult for fans to get to the field. Chad Forrest tweeted this picture of a flooded road a block from the stadium:

Harsh weather conditions are known to happen in Saskatchewan during games, of course, but that's more common in the fall than it is in June. Hopefully it will all work out for the Riders and their fans.
