Exclusive: behind-the-scenes photos from CFL's shoot on famed "Hannibal" set

The CFL, TSN and adidas brought 54 top players from across the league together this week for pre-season photos, videos and media appearances, including content with the forthcoming adidas jerseys, and one of their photo and video shoots Wednesday was at an unusual location; the Mississauga warehouse that was one of the sets for NBC's famed Hannibal. That show was known for its artistic approach, so it's perhaps appropriate that the CFL wound up on its set (it wasn't planned, though; the location just happened to be what fit and was available). Contrary to Hannibal, too, this wasn't a grim and violent experience, but a party; plenty of the players involved took to Twitter to discuss how much fun they were having and how excited they were for the season. The new uniforms themselves are still being kept secret until May 12, but here are some behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the shoot, taken by CFL communications director Paulo Senra and provided exclusively to 55-Yard Line. First, an overall panorama look at the scene:

Here are some of the tweets from players who took part in the various events Tuesday and Wednesday:

We don't have any further information on the new uniforms themselves yet (but the May 12 unveiling isn't too far away), but it's definitely cool to see so many CFL players getting together to promote the league this way and having a good time in the process. The league's also smart to make players available for media during this time; that's a great way to get some offseason press. It's cool to see a bit of a behind-the-scenes look here, and to see what the CFL is up to. They took to a big stage this week, and hopefully the final results will live up to the artistic quality of what's previously been shot there.
