Soderling out of Stockholm Open with elbow injury
STOCKHOLM (AP)—Top-seeded Robin Soderling has withdrawn from the Stockholm Open semifinals because of an elbow injury.
Soderling’s opponent, Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, advances to Sunday’s final with a walkover.
Baghdatis will play Olivier Rochus of Belgium or Tomaz Bellucci of Brazil in Sunday’s final at Royal Tennis Hall.
Soderling has been bothered by a sore right elbow since July, when he withdrew from the quarterfinals in Washington.
