Simone Perrotta Sees Improving Roma
Simone Perrotta netted the winner yesterday as Roma came from behind to defeat Atalanta 2-1 at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia and move to within three points of a Champions League berth.
The Giallorossi have collected 10 points from their last four outings and the midfielder thinks they have finally kicked into gear.
“We are very satisfied and these three points propel us towards the Champions League zone,” Perrotta admitted to the Roma Channel.
“We are making up ground in the table and the team are doing well like we are expected to. A series of sporting battles like this one await us from now on.”
Roma will host a struggling Lazio side in next weekend’s Derby della Capitale, as the Biancocelesti are without a win in the league since August 30.
“Yes, there is one easy game on Sunday…” smiled Perrotta.
“It’s normal that the derby is a special game. Am I worried by Lazio’s crisis? I’m very worried.
“It has already happened in the past that when Lazio came into the derby as underdogs, they went on to win. We must pay attention.”
