Spanish doctor banned in Portuguese doping case

LISBON, Portugal (AP)—Portugal’s cycling federation has suspended a Spanish doctor for 10 years after finding him guilty of providing illegal substances to riders in the country’s biggest doping case.

The federation says Marcos Marino Maynar provided prohibited substances, including performance-enhancing drugs and materials to mask control samples, to members of the LA-MSS team during the 2008 season.

In a ruling released late Wednesday, the federation’s disciplinary committee also banned three LA-MSS riders for up to two years for doping and tampering with samples.

The team’s sports director Manuel Zeferino was fined $4,200 for failing to ensure the proper conduct of his riders.

The ruling is to be sent to the International Cycling Union, which may add international bans.

    The truth about Peter Joachim.

    Peter Joachim is a writer for L'Equipe. He gets orders from ASO and AFLD to go on every single blog for cycling in the world to spread lies and inuendo about Lance Armstrong and other NON-FRENCH Cyclists and their unfounded, unproven doping activities. Meanwhile he has been instructed not to attack the biggest Doper in the Tour History--Richard Virenque who is a frenchman and got caught redhanded.

    As long as DOPER Lance holds a valid Nike contract, sells sneakers, and continues his empty denials, he is GOLDEN.

    He has flunked many drug tests.
    He has had his medical waste, insulin, sringes and cow blood filmed being dumped before.
    He has his teammates confess to EPO & steroid injections
    He has his teammates fail drug tests whilst on his team (eg: Benoit Joachim)
    He had his steroid doctor CONVICTED of illegal pharmacy

    Nobody cared. We do!

    Yes, I think we should all refrain from drinking out of THOSE PARTICULAR used bottles. They're brown bottles anyway and its hard to see brown stuff on a brown bottle until its TOO LATE (Right PJ?) . PJ was saying earlier the Michelob seat bottle concept he came up with is like his version of a seat mast for his roadie bike and helps keep him glued to the bike! (So to speak) PJ, do you feel like you're one with the bike now? That must improve your handling and overall tracking, but don't crash, or you're in deep @#%$! if you know what I mean? I'm also thinking washboard sections might be a little painful, but hey PJ, you're the pro rider here and you must know what you're doing/talking about! Right?

    The federation says Joachim's doctor provided EPO, cow blood, Viagra, Prozac, as well as prohibited substances, including performance-enhancing drugs and materials to mask control samples, to Peter during the 2008 season.

    In a ruling released late Wednesday, the federation’s disciplinary committee also fined Peter Joachim $4,200 for showing up and wasting everyones time in a pitiful attempt to clear his name.

    The ruling is to be sent to the International Cycling Union, which may add international and a lifetime ban.

    Peter Joachim's cycling career has been in jeopardy for quite sometime now. He has failed numerous out of competition drug tests and spent two years in prison for stalking former professional road bicycle racer Greg LeMond. He was recently fired by his team for testing positive in yet another drug test.

    Peter Joachim is already banned from racing in the State of Israel for being a Holocaust denier.

    PJ is a confirmed felcher and michelob bottle fan. He's the back door man and likes the big end of the bottles (he calls it recycling). I heard on another thread PJ has taken off his bike seat and in its place installed a michelob ultra bottle. PJ likes to copy/paste/copy/paste/copy/paste & of course has unatural relations with farm animals of all shapes and sizes. PJ drop that CKICKEN! That hen's a real pecker!

    When was the last time Lance failed a drug test? Date and location, please. In truth, he's probably been tested during the past 10 years more than any other cyclist in the world. Wouldn't he have failed at least one of those during international competition? Hmmmm....
