Davonte' Neal: This may seem like an odd choice because as a freshman Neal accounted for one catch for minus-5 yards and 44 yards as a punt returner who was instructed to fair catch the ball primarily by the staff. However, Neal was a top-20 receiver coming out of high school and Notre Dame has no true slot receivers returning to a national title contending team. Look for Neal to be the breakout offensive player for the Irish next season.
