Not only are the Blackhawks rolling, they are deep in talent—and that could come in handy down the road.

After the Blackhawks won the first two games of a six-game road trip, coach Joel Quenneville gave rookie goaltender Antti Niemi a start at Vancouver. He had sat out the previous six games but responded with a shutout.

And the only goal of the night came from Bryan Bickell, who has been up and down from Rockford all season.

Niemi and Bickell got the Hawks their seventh straight win and third on the usually challenging road trip. Last year the Hawks had their first winning record on the trip (3-2-1), sweeping the first three games in Canada. Now they hope to do better in the remaining three.
