The Flames have been great this season at scoring first. They've been outstanding in third periods, too.

For some reason, though, they have a major problem of surrendering goals in short bursts in between those times. It cost them again Monday night against the Anaheim Ducks.

After taking the lead, the Flames allowed two goals in 68 seconds to fall behind. It's a recent trend that has reared its ugly head several times this season, including both games during their trip to Southern California.

It's being somewhat nitpicky, considering Calgary's record and the success the team had on the trip—first beating Los Angeles and then losing to the Ducks in a shootout—but the Flames can't keep allowing those quick goals to fall behind.
