How the Sabres respond will go a long way toward telling if they will be true contenders or indifferent pretenders as the season rolls along.</p>
<p>The Sabres were dismantled by the Flyers in a loss to Philadelphia on Friday night and had no answer for the Bruins' relentless forecheck in Saturday's loss at Boston. That, says forward Mike Grier, can't happen.</p>
