Kovalev missed Saturday's game against Buffalo for personal reasons and remained sidelined for Monday's 4-3 win over Washington. Advice: Kovalev, who has four goals and six assists, was traveling back from a family funeral in Russia. He should return Wednesday at New Jersey. |

Kovalev will miss the next few games including Thursday's game against Pittsburgh due to the death of his mother-in-law reports TSN's Bob McKenzie. Recommendation: He and his wife will fly back to Russia on Thursday to attend the funeral and be with family. Ryan Shannon will replace Kovalev in the lineup for Thursday's game. |
