Video: Patrick Kane’s sick spin-o-rama feed to Marian Hossa

This may be Marian Hossa's(notes) goal, but Patrick Kane's(notes) the one doing all the legwork here.

He does quite a bit of nifty footwork, too, turning a relatively innocuous Chicago Blackhawks' rush into a tap-in play for Hossa with one of the finest passes of the year.

Golly, that's good.

That's a no-look spin-o-rama backhand pass with a man right on him (Anaheim Ducks' blue liner Toni Lydman(notes), going from defenseman to dance partner with one gentle pirouette). And the pass isn't some blind hope, either; Kane threads it through three defenders and right onto the tape of Marian Hossa's stick.

Of course, maybe if Saku Koivu(notes) isn't so entranced by Kane's moves, he shuts down the lane, but it's hard to remember one's backdoor obligations when an opponent is doing the tango de la muerte right in front of your eyes.

Kane would go on to set up another in the third, sending the game to overtime, and score the shootout winner as well, as the Hawks topped the Ducks 3-2. In the postgame, he mentioned Denis Savard as the inspiration for his play.
