The Hockey Gods have struck again, this time parodying Wiz Khalifa's ode to Pittsburgh called "Black and Yellow" with ... an ode to Pittsburgh called "Black and Yellow."
Of course, the Pittsburgh Penguins were absent from Mr. Khalifa's gangsta-riffic video; not so here, as was evident from the first Tom Barrasso namecheck in hip-hop history.
From HockeyGods.ca, here's "Black and Yellow":
Was anyone else distracted by the bruise on that girl's thigh during the strange goalie vs. Capitals and Flyers interlude? Just us? OK then.
Another amusing effort from the Gods, although we're still waiting for another parody that reaches the admittedly lofty bar set by "Love To Hear the Boos," their tremendous Leafs/Habs spoof of Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie."
Still, we cannot quibble with any song that rhymes "I'm Jamorir Jagr yo" with "I be skatin' with swagger yo." And the punch line was clever, too. Nice work, Gods.
