Turns out Adam Burish(notes) actually didn't have the last caustic word on Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger(notes) after the Chicago Blackhawks' Cup-clinching Game 6 win at Wachovia Center. Unless, of course, the Chicago coaches include jokes about sexual orientation in their pregame whiteboard planning.
(Oh, Chicago Tribune; look what you've instigated.)
For the record: This isn't a Photoshop job; it's directly from Getty Images.
This also isn't necessarily the work of someone directly associated with the Blackhawks, as friends and family and media and hangers-on all crammed the small locker room to party after Game 6. So don't go accusing the Blackhawks of writing "Pronger is gay" on the dry-erase board ... although requesting a handwriting sample from Burish is completely understandable.
Dear NHL: Please give us a Blackhawks/Flyers home-and-home series on next season's schedule. Pronger's elbows have a few rebuttals to issue.
Thanks to Puck Buddy Matt F. for the tip.
