With three of the top 35 picks in the April draft, the rebuilding Kansas City Chiefs - after all but disdaining free agency this year - went into the spring all but certain that defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, left tackle Branden Albert and cornerback Brandon Flowers would be starters in 2008.
Nothing they saw during 12 "voluntary" OTA workouts and three mandatory mini-camp sessions did much to change their minds.
When they open their River Falls, Wis., training camp on July 25, those three are penned in as first-team players. That's provided, of course, that the Chiefs' brass can get all three signed and in camp on time - a considerable challenge, given recent team history.
