They went through three kickers in 2007 without falling in love with any of them.
Maybe it's not surprising then, to see the Chiefs looking at three more lightly known candidates for their kicker's job in 2008.
After a year in which Kansas City cut '07 fifth-round draft pick Justin Medlock after one game, then tried to get by with Dave Rayner and aging John Carney, the Chiefs will take a look at two other NFL castoffs and an undrafted rookie in 2008.
The leading contender, if NFL experience is any factor, would appear to be Billy Cundiff, who played on and off for four seasons with Dallas (2002-05). He is best known for kicking a then-record seven field goals in a Monday night game against the Giants in 2003. ...More |
