The Cleveland Browns got crushed yesterday by the Chicago Bears, 30-6, but owner Randy Lerner isn't getting ready to fire Coach Eric Mangini just yet, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"My highest priority is to have a stable figure that represents the voice that explains the decisions," Lerner said, vaguely.
Lerner apparently isn't happy with the quarterback situation between Derek Anderson(notes) and Brady Quinn(notes) and might bring in a team president to look over the shoulder of Mangini and GM George Kokonis. "We need as many credible, serious eyes and ears assessing this situation as is possible," he said.
Lucky for the Browns, they've got a bye this week.
