Sore shoulder leaves Miami’s Williams questionable

DAVIE, Fla. (AP)—Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams(notes) is questionable for their season finale because of a shoulder injury.

The Dolphins (7-8) will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday clinging to slim playoff hopes.

Williams was limited in practice Thursday and Friday. The injury occurred in last Sunday’s loss to Houston, when Williams missed much of the second half.

His backup is Lex Hilliard(notes), who has 80 yards rushing in his career and scored his first two NFL touchdowns last week. The Dolphins are already without running back Ronnie Brown(notes), sidelined by a season-ending foot injury Nov. 15.

Tackle Vernon Carey(notes) (knee) is listed as probable.

Tomlin has been exposed for the clownshoes jackoff he is. Woodley whinning and crying that teams want pitt out?!?!
I thought Harrison was the dumbest person in the NFL. But woodley is making a real solid run at the top spot.

Classless loudmouth juicehead, cheapshot artists from a Disgusting polluted dump.

Mike: you say the phins' need a q.b?. I say that Henne is well on his way to being a top-five q.b. in this league. He is NOT our problem, this I can assure you! If you listened to just about every Head Coach that faced Miami this year, ALL of them said that they were very impressed with this young man. Belichek gave him rave revues, and I think he knows quarterbacks. Most people have this one dead on....WE NEED RECEIVERS!! Our Tight Ends are Very Overrated! Bess and Camarillio are both "sure handed." Ginn, well, seen enough of this act... And then it comes down to our running backs... I think they better start seeing what they want in Hilliard, or think about using one of their draft picks to pick someone up. Besides receivers, the Defense is what is in need here! And it ALL starts with a new defensive coordinator!! Pasqualoni Sucks!!! We need linebackers first and foremost! These corners should improve. The Safety's SUCK!! Especially Gibril Wilson, what a waste of $5,000,000 this year!! And better upgrade inside D-Line. Lots of work ahead so let's hope they lose today and upgrade our team. As much as it kills me to say it...I'd rather hope for a much better showing next year. Never really even got into this year because of the start and the up and down weekly play. If the Offense clicked, the Defense sucked. If the Defense was clicking, the offense was turning the ball over 5 times!! And that my friends....Comes down to coaching! Coaches simply could not put together a full game plan!! And that..I blame Sparano. I don't want to fire him, but I think he better fire his "wannabe coordinators!" Both of them!! Neither one of them have proven that they can sustain ANYTHING, except, the wildcat. Well, I for one am sick of it interrupting alot of good drives with many negative-yard plays! Sure it is nice, once in a while, but let's develope a passing game because every team in today's game NEEDS a passing game! Enough said!!

If Pittsburg is so bad, I wonder why the Colts threw the Jet's game. It seems the Colts would have tried to keep the Steelers in so they could have another easy game. The Colt fans went to this game to see history made and they did. They witnessed a 14 and 0 NFL team accept defeat with their starters on the bench as they became 14 and 1 instead of 15 and 0.

I really think the steelers are going to the playoffs! i cant explain how they lost to jokeland, kc, and the brownies but that is past. I think today harrison, ward. parker and ben show the nfl why they are the defending champs!!! i think patriots handle texans easily today the steelers beat miami and the almost hapless jets lose to the bengals tonite . well there it is and remember you heard it here

I hate to say it, but they need to sit him if he's hurt. It doesn't matter who wins the game because both teams are out of the playoffs come tomorrow evening. I mean the odds of everything falling into place for either team to get in is up there with winning the lottery.

I say that the Ravens and Jets get the final wild card spots. Houston has a pretty slim chance to slip in there, but may luck out. The Broncos have either benched their best players or they are injured...and they weren't exactly looking real hot anyway.

I have been a Miami fan for many many years. I was with them in there 70's
when they were undefeated. Many teams came close, but, no cigar!!!! Bob Griese
and, Dan the Man Marino. He has been my #1 Q.B. for many years. Nobody can do it
like Dan The Man.He is in the Guinesse Book of Records not once but, twice!!!
I believe that Payton Manning is very very talented, but, he two isn't a Dan Marino.
There isn't another Q.B. who could pass like him.Not even Payton, or lil' bro. ELI!!!
Well, better close for now, What Miami needs is a Q.B. They have good recievers, and a screaming running back, in Ricky Williams, but, only when HE wants to run. And, that means you can't depend on him. But, they definatly need a Q.B. really bad!
Go Miami Dolphins over the Pittsburgh Steelers tomorrow! PAPPY

    Dear Steeler Trolls;

Get over yourselves!! Last year, good team. This year, struggling to get into the playoffs; you need a lot of help. Not good enough this year to be in control of your own destiny. NUFF SAID!!!!!

For the Dolphin fans who are throwing in the towel and trashing Steelers in same breath are obvious sore losers. Miami's odds are greater to not make playoffs, again... But if Big Ben lights you up on Sunday, grab your bong and catch some waves.

The Steelers beat SD and won their most recent meeting with B-more to split the season series. The only playoff team on their schedule that they did not defeat this year is the Bengals. The Steelers have been mystifying in their losses this year, which only proves that there are no easy or hard schedules. This is the NFL where all teams have enough talent to win on "any given Sunday".

Good luck to the Phins. May both teams give their best effort and may the better team win.
    GO STEELERS!!!!!!

Joe T, get rid of Sparano and Parcells? Are you crazy? Don't you remember that we lost our starting QB (Pennington) at the beginning of the season and lost our franchise R. Brown? And that we are in a rebuilding phase right now, starting a second year QB (Henne), and we have 2 rookie starting CB's that have immense talent but are young and are prone to make mistakes? All that said we won the division last year and we still have a slim(5%) chance at getting into the playoffs, and you say fire them? When you get some answers let me know, otherwise shut the f*ck up!

    Dolphins 4 Life!!!!!!!

Hey "John", you`re doing a piss poor job of masquerading as a Steeler fan. You wouldn`t fool a two-year-old.
