Colts deactivate Vinatieri for Ravens game
INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—The Indianapolis Colts deactivated Adam Vinatieri(notes) for Saturday night’s divisional playoff game against Baltimore.
Vinatieri is considered the best clutch kicker in league history but the Colts had announced last week that they would go with former Raven Matt Stover(notes).
The Colts’ other inactives are receiver Sam Giguere(notes), tight end Colin Cloherty(notes), offensive linemen Michael Toudouze(notes) and Mike Pollak(notes) and defensive linemen John Gill(notes), Ervin Baldwin(notes) and Fili Moala(notes).
Quarterback John Beck(notes), receiver Justin Harper(notes), defensive backs Marcus Paschal(notes) and Keith Fitzhugh(notes), offensive linemen David Hale(notes) and Tony Moll(notes), nose tackle Kelly Talavou(notes) and linebacker-defensive end Paul Kruger(notes) are inactive for the Ravens.
