Shutdown Corner - NFL

Enjoy seeing a castrated Jim Zorn miserably stalk a sideline for three hours? Then join us for the Monday Night Live Blog, here at Shutdown Corner. The Redskins vs. A Team That Just Lost to the Eagles will be better than it sounds. I promise. It has to be.

We'll be here throughout the game this evening with running commentary on the game, observations, insights, polls, blatant lies and a high level of interactivity with you, the reader. We'd love it if you were here. Myself, Doug Farrar, Andy Behrens, Scott Pianowski and Matt Sussman will all be on hand.

    @ Isaac M
If they actually mean what they wrote, that's 'D' material for comedy.

McFlab will never win a Super Bowl. Washington? I wouldn't even hire those bums nor that conehead Zorn to work minimum wages at my BK joint. So sad to see a bunch of strokers on Washington's team make big bucks for their dismal performance.
Hey, notice that if Philly covers that all road favorites covered this weekend in NFL. Parity in NFL?
Why would anyone waste their money to watch any of the following teams: KC, Washington, Raiders, and Cleveland.
NFL has changed from the past. It's about running up the scores.

I'm a huge, lifelong 'skins fan - but I don't know how much more of this I can take - knee-jerk reaction at this point would be to fire the entire offense - all of them - Cooley tanking those first couple of throws? Gone! Moss only there 'cause he draws 2 defenders? Gone! ARE and Portis are past "past their prime" Gone! Campbell isn't even a good 3rd stringer (watch Highlight reels from sportscenter to see what a QB is supposed to look like - can you imagine Campbell throwing into tight coverage like these guys do?) Gone! Collins? Just there 'til they stop handing him paychecks - Gone! The line is crap and everybody in the NFL knows it - Guys that would be fighting for a second string spot on lesser teams (what do I mean lesser teams? The Redskins are one of those lesser teams now!!) Fred Davis can't block (OK, a couple of nice efforts after catches - probation)... And Dumb^ss just put the ball on the ground in the redzone - sorry, Jason, I will never defend you again - fall on your sword...
Only good thing I watched this entire game was Portis throwing his helmet into the bench after a Campbell sack - 'bout time someone on this team shows some frustration (let us know how your next team works out for you - thanks, though)...

sooooooo the eagles will win, we all know that, the Skins should start Colt Brennen at QB or go get Graham Harrel...and the retarded a$$ eagles should have vick start at RB, return kicks, punts and have him in some defensive plays as a db

How can a team in the NFL play this bad on MNF. Especially, the Redskins, after what happen all week with their coach. You would figure the Redskins would play for their for their coach to prove to everyone Zorn is not a loser. Jason Campbell is a sad disappoint to the SEC Conference. He choked when his team needed him the most!
I still can not believe how bad the Redskins played...........and I not even a fan. I am a Titan's fan!!! The Eagles aren't that good. Are the Redskin's really worse than the Raiders? Zorn might not call the right plays, but he is not getting charged with assault as head coach. Redskins just revealed bigger issues as a team. Snyder, you might consider auctioning the team back off. It's not worth your effort!

First off, (but I'm sure it won't be the last) Brennan is on IR...
Davis dropped one in the endzone then caught one - still probation...
And lest we not forget the handsome and captivatiing officiating crew (the only way they got the job, their looks) - Gone!
Better than I thought - I called 42-9 before the game began...
Campbell putting the ball on the ground in the redzone - play of the game - oh, d^mmit...

Biggest problem I see and there are many is the offensive line has got to go , too old, too small and too injury prone, 2nd a Qb that knows what to do when you have a defensive player comming at you not just go to the ground. the defense needs to get some new corners because rogers and smoot justdont do it anymore.
and finaly the need a coach that knows what hes doing rumor has it snyder is looking at Holmgren and shanahan, we shall see
