Monday Night Live Blog, Week 6: Broncos @ Chargers

Monday Night Football heads west this week, which means it will be more like Monday Late-Afternoon Football at kickoff. No matter, we have another solid matchup this week, as the undefeated Denver Broncos travel to San Diego to face the Chargers in an AFC West showdown.

As always, Shutdown Corner will be here with running commentary, analysis, pithy dialogue and the occasional LCS update. Join me, Andy Behrens, Scott Pianowski, Doug Farrar and Matt Sussman starting at 8:15 p.m. ET. And, who knows, maybe Salma Hayek will make an appearance as well.

    Norv Turner is a terrible coach; terrible play calling.........Norv should be fired!!!! Ever since he took over the team it has went downhill. I can't be the only the one that knows this. Look at how he got outcoached by rookie McDaniels......Norv has been outcoached every week! Tonight, look at the failed first red zone attempt. LT was right to be pissed off! Norv should be fired!!!!

    jayyolf1- Have you considered that the team is not as good as the once were and that it is not all the coach. And just maybe the Broncos are better the the Chargers this year?? You are quick to jump to firing the coach.

    OH NO !!!...THATS RIGHT.... WHEN KC BEAT THE CHARGERS ON SUNDAY .....WE MIGHT NOT TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THE RAIDERS AND CHARGERS GAME CUZ IT GONNA BE BLACKOUT!!!!!ON TV(cable/tv) probably the best thing to do for those charger fans not to see this game and get embarrass/pizzz off !!!...(IF THEY LOSE TO THE RAIDERS) I dont want to see those sad faces and its gonna be very very QUIET lol... sorry its time to change.. they had their chances...for the past 3 or 4 years !!!!

    Broncos beating the Chargers hardly makes them legit. Beating the Patriots made them legit and if they can beat the Ravens and Pittsburgh, they will continue to be legit.

    I am a Bears fan and could not care less about the Broncos or the Chargers than I already do. My concern is for the return of Ron "Jaws" Jaworski (as an announcer) to the booth for MNF. I see him sitting there, and wonder why he is not talking. And then it dawns on me - who can get a word in with that loud mouth Jon Gruden babbling throughout the game? He apparently loves to hear himself talk, while saying absolutely nothing. Jaws has forgotten more about professional football than Gruden will ever know. Get Gruden out of the booth!!! I would like to watch a complete game, but continue to turn the game off usually around 1/2 time when I have had my fill of his jibberish.

    Nolan stunk it up as a Head coach for the Niners, but he's doing a decent job as the D.C. for the Broncos. Their defense is playing as good as any in the league. I believe they will take their division, but not the whole enchilada. Look out for New Orleans, could be their year.

    I am no way near a Charger or Denver fan but I am definitely a believer in Josh and Denver now. I like the blitz calling as well as the balanced attack. I guess it took me so long to admit it because of all the changes in the offseason as well as the rookie coach. Congratulations Denver fans on the start of a great season. Now I have to go and sit and wait on my Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Texans team.

    lmao! Reading that, I never heard so much "Bad Call" whining in my whole life! The ref may have worded it miscorrectly but he had clearly broken the plane before being downed. No one ever throws a tantrum when its by the cones so why are these whining maggots [profane]ing about this. It's out of loser envy. They use every miniscule little explanation to hide from the fact the Broncos simply outplayed them. Look, no hard feelings SD. You beat us how many times over the years? Let it go! It was bound to happen. Just take the loss and move on like any self respecting teams fans do!
