Live Trippin': Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 1 PT

After a disheartening Saturday night in Berkeley and a sleepless Sunday night in Denver, I spent Monday night propped up on my living-room couch watching Brett Favre(notes) and Aaron Rodgers(notes) engage in the NFL’s version of Celebrity Deathmatch.

Now it’s Tuesday, and thanks to the magic of Peet’s iced tea, I feel very much alive.

What better way to show it than to do some Live Trippin’ with my favorite work-avoiding readers? Beginning at 1 p.m. Pacific Time, we’ll spend a generous hour talking about my over-the-top interview with California Golden Blogs, the NFL’s most surprising team in 2009, your displeasure with where your favorite team ranks in my latest 32 Questions and, of course, the fallout from the Vikes-Packers clash.

Be there, or be somewhere a lot less cool.

Live Trippin': Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 1 PT

After much heated discussion last week about the specifics of World War II – I was particularly amused by the assertion that Germany and Japan didn't really have very much to do with one another (except for, you know, Trying to take over the world … ) – I'm hoping we can get off the Poli Sci circuit and resume our usual battles over all things pro football.

Is Bill Belichick fearless, or is he just too frazzled by the state of his offense to think clearly? Is Mike Singletary a future coach of the year, or is he just a trou-dropping rabble-rouser on a hot streak? Speaking of men without pants, how could my beloved California Golden Bears absorb such a humiliating spanking at Oregon, and how many of my friends will I have to bail out of the Berkeley jail if the team performs similarly this Saturday against USC?

Let's get together and hug it out, real-time-cyber-style, on this week's Live Trippin', beginning Tuesday at 1 p.m. Pacific Time and continuing for a generous hour. We can debate my latest rankings, celebrate my killer upset picks (Bengals, Lions) and denigrate my not-so-swift ones (Niners, Titans).

Spirited skirmishes are encouraged, but please, No Nukes.
