WHL Roundup: Mayo scores first goal of the season as Oil Kings beat Warriors 6-2
EDMONTON - Tristan Jerry made 29 saves to backstop the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 6-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Western Hockey League play on Thursday.
Griffin Reinhart, Brett Pollock, Curtis Lazar, Dysin Mayo, Mitchell Moroz and Mads Eller scored for Edmonton (13-8-1).
Sam Fioretti opened the scoring for Moose Jaw (7-14-4), and he assisted on Brayden Point's goal in the second period.
Warriors goalie Justin Paulic made 26 saves.
