Titans continue beer-chugging routine in Game 2 vs. Penguins

The Nashville Predators are going to need the Tennessee Titans’ beer-chugging, catfish-hoisting shirtless sideshow more than ever in Game 3.

After getting run out of PPG Paints Arena by the Penguins in Wednesday’s 4-1 loss, the Predators are going too need every ounce of beer-fueled energy from their NFL brethren Saturday night.

This clip they showed during the NBC broadcast on Wednesday from Game 6 of the Western Conference final is hopefully a sign of things to come.

The Titans have been fixtures at Bridgestone Arena during the playoffs, dating back to last season.

But things got cranked up a notch this year when members of the Titans O-line opted for beer-chugging over rally towels as the preferred method to fire up the crowd. It worked in Game 3 against the Ducks, the first time they brought beer into the equation, and it was successful again in Game 6.

Know what happened the last time the Titans didn’t slam tall boys at a home playoff game? The Predators lost their one and only game (they’re 7-1 at home these playoffs). Hard to argue with those analytics.
