OHL Roundup: Addesi's shootout goal gives Whalers 3-2 win over Greyhounds

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Jordan Addesi's shootout goal helped the Plymouth Whalers to a 3-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in OHL action on Thursday.

Addesi's goal put Plymouth ahead 3-2 in the shootout and goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped Greyhounds rookie Michael Bunting to lock up the win.

Zach Lorentz and Carter Sandlak scored in regulation for Plymouth (14-21-0-4). Nedeljkovic stopped 32 shots before earning his third straight shootout victory.

Segei Tolcinsky and Jared McCann had the goals for Sault Ste. Marie (26-8-1-4).

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Nick Ritchie scored twice, once on a penalty shot, to help the Petes defeat Barrie.

Ritchie's 17th goal of the season on a penalty shot in the second period tied the game 1-1.

Clark Seymour and Josh MacDonald also scored for Peterborough (16-19-4), which won its third in a row.

Tyson Fawcett, Andreas Athanasiou and Zach Hall scored for the Colts (19-16-3).

Hall's goal at 16:39 of the third period made it a one-goal game.

Andrew D'Agostini made 24 saves for the Petes, while Mackenzie Blackwood turned back 19 shots for Barrie.
