Recommendation: The 40-year-old goal keeper was reportedly set on playing the 2013-14 season even if this upcoming season had been cancelled. Brodeur improved on his 2010-11 numbers last year, and helped lead his team to the Stanley Cup Finals, but surrendered five goals in the decisive Game 6 loss to Los Angeles. Still, he should remain a consistent option at backstop over the next two years, assuming he stays healthy.
