Update: The Panthers have placed Versteeg (groin) on IR, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: No word yet on exactly how long Versteeg will be out, but it sounds like what is believed to be a groin issue could keep him out for a while. At the very least, he'll be out Monday and Tuesday with the Panthers on the road against Ottawa and Montreal.
