Update: Desmond (oblique) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com reports.
Recommendation: The Washington Times reported Nationals manager Davey Johnson said after Friday's game that Desmond was still "real bothered" by an oblique injury. That injury hadn't cost Desmond any time, but after making 70 consecutive starts, Desmond will sit while Danny Espinosa plays shortstop and Steve Lombardozzi mans second. Johnson indicated that Desmond could miss several days.
