Brook Lopez: Re-Signing with Nets

Update: Lopez will re-sign with the Nets, NBA.com reports.

Recommendation: Lopez's deal will be for four years, $61 million with the Nets. He was originally going to be used as Dwight Howard bait, but since it seems as if that deal has fallen apart, the Nets have gone with plan B and re-signed their incumbent center. The Howard trade now seems officially dead. Having signed a new contract, Lopez is not allowed to be traded until January 15 and even after that date, Brooklyn would need his consent to add him to a deal.
