Kellen Moore didn't need to throw his usual three touchdown passes. All the Boise State quarterback had to do was hand it off and watch Doug Martin and Jeremy Avery go. Martin ran for four touchdowns, Avery ran for two more and both topped 100 yards rushing to help the sixth-ranked Broncos remained unbeaten and in BCS contention with a 52-21 win over Utah State on Friday night. ...More |

Utah State coach Gary Andersen called it, in a mix of admiration and disappointment, a "wave of points."
Boise State's wave meant goodbye to Andersen's Aggies, who lost 52-21 behind a 28-point second quarter from the visiting team in what was for the first 15 minutes a very tight game.
The score had been 14-14 after a beautiful 24-yard Robert Turbin touchdown run. But Utah State had the momentum extinguished by three powerful sequences: a quick and long Broncos touchdown drive; a Utah State fumble inside its own 10-yard line that set up another score; and an 83-yard drive when just 1:33 remained before halftime.
