The Rockets have lost two straight, and three of their last four, so there is no practical debate over which way this team is headed. The only realistic discussion on the table is whether Toledo will track the same as it has the past few seasons, where something less than mediocrity was ok, or have the Rockets found something extra in the motivational file under new head coach Tim Beckman.

As the Rockets take a deep breath and have 11 days to prepare for their next game—a mid-week trip to play MAC West Division leader Central Michigan—they can take inventory of themselves as say they are right about where most folks expected them to be.
