USF lost at home to Pittsburgh on Thursday, with the defeat sending the Bulls tumbling from No. 10 in the Associated Press poll to No. 19. The 26-21 loss was somewhat surprising, especially how the Bulls struggled on offense, defense and special teams.

The offense was limited to 245 yards, including a season-low 129 yards passing from quarterback Matt Grothe. The defense, which entered the game ranked No. 4 nationally in rush defense, allowed 146 yards, including 142 yards from Pitt sophomore LeSean McCoy.

Special teams continue to...

South Florida just doesn't have a whole lot of success when it's ranked in the Top Ten. Last year, the Bulls rose to No. 2 in the country only to lose three straight games and drop out of the Big East title picture. On Thursday night, LeSean McCoy ran for two touchdowns and Bill Stull threw for another as Pittsburgh beat the 10th-ranked Bulls 26-21.
