The Bobcats are almost through the toughest part of their schedule, and are still clinging to life.

When the season began, Ohio was faced with playing six of its first eight games on the road. The Bobcats knew if they could somehow stay in contention in the Mid-American Conference East Division through that stretch then a beneficial final month could nudge them to the top.

Well, Ohio is just 2-5 through seven games but finds itself just half-a-game back in the MAC East. A win at Temple on Oct. 21 would set the Bobcats with as good a shot as anyone in the division with four games to go. Ohio, after the trip the Philadelphia, plays three in a row at home.

"Everything is still out there in front of us," said senior defensive tackle Jameson Hartke.
