Nevada rushed for 575 yards -- and shattered some NCAA record in the process -- as the Wolf Pack beat New Mexico State 63-20 Saturday night. Luke Lippincott had 162 yards on 19 carries, putting him at 1,028 yards for the season. There was rejoicing in Las Cruces, N.M., Saturday night.

After a stretch of 20 quarters of action, the equivalent of five games, New Mexico State quarterback Jeff Fleming hit wide receiver Marcus Allen for a 14-yard touchdown pass to score the Aggies' first offensive touchdown since Oct. 10.

It felt so good, the pair hooked up again for an 11-yard score.

Of course, the Aggies were trailing the Nevada Wolf Pack 63-6 in the fourth quarter at the time and facing the emptied bench of one of the nation's hottest team's at the time.

Small victories.

"It was good for our offense to get into the end zone and get that monkey off their back and have something positive on that side of the ball," NMSU coach DeWayne Walker said.
