Michigan's Rich Rodriguez says Purdue coach Danny Hope blamed him for getting one of his players suspended. Rodriguez says Hope introduced him to guard Zach Reckman after the Boilermakers' 38-36 win Saturday and said, "Thanks Coach, we appreciate what you did." Reckman was suspended for a game because of a late hit against Northern Illinois in September. ...More |

The Wolverines are trying not to let anyone know that desperation is creeping into the program at a time when they hoped to be building momentum towards the postseason, and beyond. With three games to play in the 2009 season, Michigan has lost four straight Big Ten games, and four of its last five overall after a 4-0 start.
The recent loss at Illinois was a snapshot look at what many fear is happening to the Wolverines' season. Michigan went up 13-7 early against the Illini, and had four shots from the 1 yardline to make it a 20-7 lead in the third quarter. Instead, the Wolverines got stuffed on four straight downs, and Illinois got a huge emotional spike from the defensive stand.
